Pizzica
The "Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino", is a folk group from Salento (Apulia), as well as a cultural association, which has, over the years, highlighted one of the best Italian traditions: the Pizzica.

Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, is the first and oldest folk group to have Salento in Apulia, in 1975.

In 2010, the Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, is awarded Best Italian Group of Popular Music.
Since 2007, conducting the band, goes by founder Daniele Durante, to his son Mauro Durante, great tambourine and violin, the band, but also as a solo artist Mauro, personally collaborated with numerous artists, including Ludovico Einaudi, Piers Faccini, Ballake Sissoko, Ibrahim Maalouf, Stewart Copeland and now plays continuously in the biggest musical events of Apulia: La Notte della Taranta (The Night of Spider), one of the best music event in South Italy, during summer .

Here are some of the best videos of Mauro Durante and the Band "Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino," which I found on YouTube.
With this article, I'd like to thank all those, who continue to play this great Italian folk music, reminiscent of our most ancient origins.
