Etna: video made ​​with drone wins UNESCO prize

A flight over Mount Etna, suspended a few dozen meters from the volcano, to admire it from above like birds and large birds of prey that still inhabit the forests of high altitude of this great natural laboratory for a year heritage.
It is the 'short', created with the support of a drone by photographer and filmmaker Antonio Zimbone from Catania, who won the video section of Etna Unesco World Heritage.

     It 's the first photo-video contest sponsored by the photojournalist dedicated to Etna and Antonio Parrinello, after the insertion of the World Heritage List (WHL) for a' race 'between photographers and videographers, professional and not, for celebrate the highest active volcano in Europe. Two photographers are awarded sections color and black and white. For the first Alfina Zappala with "In the pine forest of Lingfield": a tribute to the forests, monuments, green living, for a shot fairy tale and magic; for the second Elizabeth Ferrara "Contrasts", where the shape of the ominous smoldering volcano seems to hover on a quiet Sunday in a seaside family.

     The awards ceremony was held in Nicolosi, at the headquarters of the Etna Park. The event was included in the bill "Etna a heritage of civilization", a series of meetings, debates and exhibitions organized by Turi Caggegi, journalist and founder of the smartphone app iEtna, in collaboration with the Etna Park, the City of Catania, university and the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology for the first anniversary of the integration of the volcano between the natural sites of UNESCO WHL
